Now Hiring: Wire EDM / CAD-CAM Technician

📍 Grand Rapids, Michigan

🕓 Full-time

Join LACH DIAMOND, a family-owned global company with more than 40 years of experience in high-precision PCD and CBN tool production. From our Michigan headquarters, we serve industries including automotive, aerospace, woodworking, and metalworking.

We are growing — and we are looking for a technically minded, detail-oriented colleague who wants to build specialized skills in precision manufacturing and advanced Wire EDM technology.

Previous Wire EDM experience is preferred but not required, but candidates must already have solid CAD/CAM fundamentals and strong technical understanding. We will provide hands-on training in Wire EDM and PCD tooling.

What You’ll Do

🔹 Operate and monitor our Wire EDM machines after comprehensive training

🔹 Set up workpieces, fixtures, and reference points

🔹 Load and adjust machining programs

🔹 Inspect finished PCD tools using high-precision measuring devices

🔹 Perform basic machine maintenance and keep the workspace organized

🔹 Collaborate closely with our CAD designers and experienced technicians

Who You Are

✔️ Strong technical understanding and willingness to learn new skills

✔️ CAD/CAM experience is required

✔️ Ability to read technical drawings (or willingness to further develop these skills)

✔️ Careful, precise working style and strong attention to detail
