Job Description

Job Title: Visual Merchandiser
About The Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-obsessed
Visual Merchandiser
to bring our brand to life on the floor. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting immersive, on-brand in-store experience that drive customer engagement and sales. From window displays to product placement strategy, you will own the visual identity of our retail environment — ensuring every touchpoint tells a cohesive, compelling story. Individual will be responsible for traveling to stores and helping to launch new stores and communicate best sellers and pertinent information to corporate HQ.

Key Responsibilities
Store Presentation & Display

  • Plan, design, and execute all in-store displays, window installations, and product vignettes in alignment with brand guidelines and seasonal campaigns.

  • Maintain a consistently elevated store aesthetic — ensuring all fixtures, signage, lighting, and product arrangements are fresh, intentional, and visually impactful.

  • Adapt floor sets and display concepts based on new product arrivals, promotions, and sales data.

Product Placement & Floor Planning

  • Develop and implement floor plans and planograms that optimize traffic flow, highlight key products, and drive conversion.

  • Strategically position merchandise to encourage cross-selling, upselling, and discovery of new or featured items.

  • Collaborate with the buying and merchandising teams to ensure product stories are told effectively on the floor.

Campaign & Seasonal Execution

  • Partner with marketing to translate campaign concepts into compelling in-store visual experiences.

  • Lead the rollout of seasonal floor sets and promotional displays, coordinating logistics and timelines across teams.

  • Ensure consistency across all locations (if multi-door) by developing clear visual direction guides and toolkits.

Brand & Standards Compliance

  • Serve as the in-store guardian of brand standards — ensuring all visual elements are executed to the highest level of quality and consistency.

  • Conduct regular store walkthroughs to assess and elevate visual presentation, identifying and resolving any off-brand or substandard displays.

  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging retail design aesthetics to keep our presentation fresh and competitive.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with store management and sales associates to train and align the team on visual standards and daily upkeep.

  • Work alongside operations and facilities teams to manage props, fixtures, and visual supply inventory.

  • Provide input to the broader merchandising and product team on customer response to displays and layout effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of visual merchandising experience in a retail environment; fashion, lifestyle, or specialty retail preferred.

  • Strong eye for design, composition, color, and spatial arrangement.

  • Proficiency with floor planning tools and basic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or similar).

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Physically able to build displays, move fixtures, and work on ladders as needed.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills — comfortable working with cross-functional teams and presenting visual concepts.

  • A genuine passion for retail, brand storytelling, and the customer experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Merchandising, Design, Fashion, or a related field preferred — or equivalent hands-on experience.

Salary $90,000 - $120,000
