Job Description

Piper Companies is seeking a Vet Tech in Philadelphia, PA to support a local research institution.

This is a 3-month contract opportunity with potential for extension/conversion.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support animal care and treatment in a research environment

  • Surgical procedures and post op

  • Preform administrative work and regularly cross collaborate with scientists and external vendors

Qualifications include:

  • Experience with anesthesia and pre/post op care

  • Comfort working with rats/mice and large animals

  • Must be able to work independently

  • Understanding of drug dose calculations

  • MUST Have - good verbal, written communication

Compensation includes:

  • $25/hr-$27/hr

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Sick Leave if required by law
