Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Uniformed Police Officer II (UPO II) position located in Baltimore, MD. The UPO II will be responsible for maintaining safety and security on university grounds, performing patrols, responding to emergencies, and investigating incidents. Day-to-day tasks include enforcing laws, managing evidence, participating in criminal investigations, and fostering a positive and secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors.

Qualifications

  • Experience and expertise in Law Enforcement and serving as a Police Officer

  • Knowledge and handling of Evidence and participation in Criminal Investigations

  • Familiarity with public safety, security protocols, and general safety practices

  • Ability to assess and manage emergency situations effectively

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with a diverse community

  • Completion of mandated training and certification required for law enforcement roles

  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in criminal justice or a related field is preferred

  • Prior law enforcement experience is strongly preferred

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
