Job Description

Rogers-O'Brien Construction is looking for a Superintendent with 5+ years experience in the commercial construction space. Superintendents at RO ensure that all team members – including our trade partners, clients, architects, and other stakeholders – are kept up to date with consistent communication to successfully deliver a Premier Product to our valuable clients.

Since 1969, Rogers-O’Brien has firmly established itself as Texas’ Premier Builder by delivering excellence and expertise to our valued customers through all aspects of our business! We consistently deliver high-quality buildings and exceed the most demanding expectations.

We live and breathe our vision and values daily. Although all six of our values are important and continue to shape RO’s outcome, as part of our operations department, you will be a huge proponent in ‘Finding a Better Way’. The RO family is known to be innovative and push boundaries. A great example of this is through our use of Procore; We recently were awarded the Procore Groundbreaker Award for Excellence in Innovation! This award celebrates us pushing the boundaries of construction technology — any breakthrough that helps build by challenging the status quo.

What does this mean for you as a Superintendent at RO? Although it will be your responsibility to build a variety of projects in various sectors alongside the Project Manager (from conceptual plan, schedule, staffing plans, through completion), you will be the main supervisor for all field operations on site.

Responsibilities
In this important and demanding role, both you and the Project Manager will ensure that all team members – including our trade partners, clients, architects, and other stakeholders – are kept up to date with consistent communication. As you can likely tell, no day will be the same. There will be similarities, but some of your responsibilities include:

  • Supervise all field operations for the project.

  • Coordinate with PM in early identification of problem areas that affect project quality.

  • Establish subcontractor performance schedules.

  • Inspect the site and check for OSHA violations and unsafe practices and conditions.

  • Conduct Toolbox Talks with all employees.

If you have
5–10 years’ experience with $10 M+ projects and ground-up expertise in Office, Industrial, Multi-Family, and Mission Critical sectors
—come join the team!

Rogers-O’Brien is family-owned, with the third generation leading the company’s operations. Our employees come from all walks of life. We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds, not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger!
