Job Description

Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for the role, Strategy Consultant – Fintech & Payments.

Role Overview

An established financial services platform is seeking a manager to join its Strategy function. This is a highly execution-oriented role designed for an individual who can operate as an extension of the leadership teams, supporting priority initiatives while actively driving them forward. This is not a purely conceptual strategy role. The position requires a builder-operator mindset: someone who can define problems, evaluate opportunities, and lead execution against key priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and advance strategic initiatives across the business, including growth, transformation, and operational efficiency efforts

  • Evaluate opportunities and develop business cases for new products, capabilities, partnerships, and market expansion

  • Translate leadership vision into actionable plans and help ensure progress against those plans

  • Lead execution of initiatives as needed, including program management, stakeholder coordination, and delivery oversight

  • Identify process inefficiencies and support implementation of improvements

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Technology, Finance, and Operations teams

  • Contribute to materials for senior leadership and key decision-making forums

  • Incorporate data and AI-driven approaches to enhance growth, automation, and decision-making

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in management consulting (required)

  • Prior exposure to financial services is preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure and solve ambiguous challenges

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of workstreams and deliver tangible outcomes

  • Advanced proficiency in:

  • PowerPoint (executive-level communication and storytelling)

  • Excel (financial modeling and opportunity analysis)

  • Experience supporting program execution and managing multiple priorities

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

  • Familiarity with data-driven decision-making and practical applications of AI

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with senior stakeholders

Profile

  • Versatile and adaptable, with a willingness to take on a wide range of responsibilities

  • High ownership mindset with a low-ego, team-oriented approach

  • Pragmatic and results-focused, prioritizing outcomes over process

  • Combines structured problem-solving with an operator’s bias for action

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building structure where needed

Opportunity

  • Join a lean, high-impact team with direct exposure to senior leadership

  • Gain end-to-end experience from strategy development through execution

  • Play a meaningful role in shaping growth and transformation initiatives across the platform
