Practice Questions

💡Technical Questions (3)
  • 1.Can you walk me through your approach to performing a vibration analysis on a main feedwater pump, and how you would correlate those findings to a broader plant performance assessment?
  • 2.Describe your experience with Electro-Hydraulic Control (EHC) systems and major turbine valves. How do you approach engineering assessments and troubleshooting for these critical components?
  • 3.When leading a nuclear modification or design change for a component like a main condenser or heat exchanger, how do you ensure compliance with nuclear plant administrative and design processes?
🎯Behavioral Questions (3)
  • 1.Tell me about a time you had to lead a technical discussion with a utility client to address a significant engineering issue at their plant.
  • 2.Describe a situation where you mentored a younger or less experienced engineer on a complex power generation project. What was your approach?
  • 3.Give me an example of a time you used root cause analysis, such as TapRooT, to investigate a significant plant event or equipment failure.
🧩Situational Questions (2)
  • 1.You are independently executing a consulting project for a nuclear utility and discover a discrepancy between the plant's current operating parameters and its design basis for a critical heat exchanger. The client's plant management is resistant to making changes due to upcoming generation targets. How do you handle this?
  • 2.Management asks you to represent ENTRUST at an upcoming industry conference to help generate business opportunities, but you are also managing a heavy technical project workload. How do you balance these responsibilities and ensure success in both areas?
