Job Brief

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Engineer (Civil) to oversee and manage civil construction activities at project sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising site operations, coordinating with consultants and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications, and delivering projects within schedule, quality, and safety standards. The role requires strong technical expertise in civil works related to water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage day-to-day civil construction activities on site to ensure timely and quality execution of works.

  • Plan and coordinate site resources including manpower, materials, machinery, and equipment for efficient project delivery.

  • Monitor and oversee excavation, shoring, dewatering, RCC works, underground structures, and backfilling activities.

  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and method statements, ensuring accurate implementation at site.

  • Track project progress, productivity, material consumption, and equipment utilization against approved schedules and budgets.

  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal departments for inspections, approvals, and smooth project execution.

  • Attend progress and coordination meetings; prepare daily/weekly progress reports and identify potential delays with corrective action plans.

  • Liaise with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of construction materials and equipment.

  • Prepare quantity take-offs, material requests, and bar bending schedules as required.

  • Maintain proper site documentation including daily reports, WIR/MIR submissions, inspection records, and quality documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with approved quality standards, safety procedures, and project specifications at all stages of construction.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to site supervisors, foremen, and workforce to maintain high workmanship standards.

  • Coordinate with planning, QA/QC, and HSE teams to ensure smooth workflow and project compliance.

  • Support the Project Manager with technical inputs, site coordination, and project-related communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

  • 3–6 years of UAE/GCC experience in civil construction projects, preferably in water/wastewater infrastructure, pumping stations, and treatment plants.

  • Strong experience in RCC works, underground structures, shoring, and dewatering systems.

  • Good knowledge of local authority regulations, standards, and approval procedures.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera.

  • Ability to coordinate and work effectively across multiple disciplines and project teams.

  • Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.

  • Good communication skills in English and Hindi; Arabic will be an added advantage.

  • Strong technical, organizational, and site management capabilities.
