Sales Manager – Concrete Batch Plant Systems

*Remote | Texas-Focused Growth Market | Heavy Equipment / Ready-Mix Industry*
We are partnering with a growing American manufacturer of concrete batch plant systems seeking a relationship-driven Sales Manager to help build and expand a new division focused on ready-mix and concrete production solutions.

This is a high-visibility opportunity for someone who already understands the batch plant world, knows the industry players, and can confidently speak with owners, operators, and producers about plant operations, equipment needs, and long-term production goals.

The role offers the chance to step into a rapidly growing operation at the ground-floor level, with significant influence on sales strategy, market development, and future team growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and grow sales opportunities for concrete batch plants, material handling systems, and turnkey plant solutions

  • Build relationships with ready-mix producers, plant owners, contractors, and industry contacts throughout Texas and surrounding markets

  • Lead customer conversations around production goals, site constraints, plant configuration, and operational efficiency

  • Help customers identify the right solutions for throughput, scalability, maintenance reduction, and long-term reliability

  • Coordinate with internal engineering and fabrication teams to develop practical, buildable system concepts

  • Manage opportunities from initial outreach through proposal, close, and handoff

  • Utilize CRM tools to maintain pipeline visibility and follow-up structure

  • Contribute to development of scalable sales processes and future growth initiatives within the division

What They’re Looking For

  • Prior experience in concrete batch plants, ready-mix operations, aggregate handling, heavy equipment, or related industrial systems

  • Existing industry relationships and ability to generate opportunities independently

  • Strong technical understanding with the ability to “talk the talk” with plant owners and operators

  • Self-driven, organized, and capable of operating autonomously in a growth environment

  • Ability to balance technical conversations with relationship-focused sales

  • Comfortable traveling throughout Texas and surrounding regions as needed

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • Ground-floor opportunity within a growing division

  • Significant autonomy and ability to shape the sales function

  • Strong earning potential tied to large-ticket equipment sales

  • American-made product line focused on durability, quality, and reduced maintenance

  • Leadership team with long-standing industry relationships and aggressive growth goals

  • Faith-based company culture centered around integrity, accountability, and long-term partnership

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary plus uncapped commission structure

  • Commission tied directly to equipment and turnkey solution sales

  • Remote flexibility with travel expenses covered

  • Vehicle and phone stipend

  • PTO/RTO

  • 401(k) with company contribution

Additional Details

  • Remote position with heavy focus on Texas markets initially

  • Ideal for candidates located near DFW or with strong Texas ready-mix relationships

  • Long-term growth potential as the division expands

  • Quick interview process with fast feedback turnaround

Practice Questions

💡Technical Questions (3)
  • 1.How do you assess a customer's current plant operations to determine if they need a custom batch plant configuration or a turnkey solution?
  • 2.Can you explain how you would coordinate with internal engineering and fabrication teams to ensure a customer's plant configuration is both practical and buildable?
  • 3.When speaking with a ready-mix producer looking to expand, how do you position our equipment's durability and reduced maintenance as a strategic advantage over cheaper alternatives?
🎯Behavioral Questions (3)
  • 1.Tell me about a time you developed a new sales territory or division from the ground up with minimal oversight.
  • 2.Describe a situation where you had to balance a highly technical conversation about plant operations with the relationship-building needs of a plant owner.
  • 3.Give me an example of how you utilized your existing industry relationships to uncover a major sales opportunity that otherwise wouldn't have existed.
🧩Situational Questions (2)
  • 1.You are meeting with a Texas ready-mix producer who is hesitant to switch to a new batch plant manufacturer because of a bad experience with a previous vendor's fabrication quality. How do you navigate this conversation?
  • 2.You receive an RFP for a turnkey plant solution, but after reviewing the site constraints and the customer's throughput goals, you realize their requested configuration will cause major maintenance bottlenecks. How do you handle it?
