The Opportunity
- Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer who is passionate about software quality, customer impact, and continuous improvement. This role is intentionally flexible in scope, supporting multiple web-based platforms, as well as other high-priority or urgent initiatives as business needs evolve. You will play a critical role in maintaining a high-quality bar while enabling teams to move quickly and confidently in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Become a deep expert in assigned product areas, partnering closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to define requirements, acceptance criteria, and quality expectations
- Design, document, and execute comprehensive test strategies for new features and regression coverage across multiple initiatives
- Perform hands-on testing across modern web applications, including functional, integration, regression, and smoke testing
- Support multiple release cycles per week to ensure customers receive timely features and bug fixes
- Work closely with development teams to improve software delivery processes and ensure quality is built into every stage of development
- Take full end-to-end ownership of testing and release readiness for assigned features or projects, including fast-moving or urgent initiatives when required
- Coordinate testing activities with offshore and distributed teams to ensure alignment, clarity, and timely execution
- Contribute to raising the overall quality bar by sharing best practices and growing the technical expertise of the broader quality engineering team
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- 5+ years of experience testing modern web applications as a Quality Engineer, with strong hands-on expertise in functional, integration, and regression testing
- Experience testing AI or ML-powered product features, including validation of model outputs, error handling, and edge cases
- Solid understanding of modern testing practices across the full software development lifecycle, with experience working in Agile environments
- Proven ability to create, document, and maintain pragmatic, scalable test strategies
- Experience working with or coordinating offshore teams, including planning, execution alignment, and effective communication across time zones
- Experience clearly documenting, reporting, and communicating quality status and test results to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and shifting priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong team-first mindset
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins and collaboration tools including Jira, Slack, and Wikis
- Ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, and product domains
Nice To Have
- Experience building and maintaining automated end-to-end test coverage for web applications using tools such as Playwright
- Hands-on experience testing API-based applications as an Automation Engineer
- Backend API testing experience
- Experience leading or mentoring Quality Engineers
Compensation
- Pay $45.00 to $47.18 per hour
