Practice Questions

💡Technical Questions (3)
  • 1.How do you approach validating P&IDs and isometric drawings against actual field conditions during a brownfield development, and how do you handle discrepancies?
  • 2.Walk me through how you use Primavera P6 or MS Project to track progress on well pad construction and flowline installation using Gantt charts and S-curves.
  • 3.When reviewing method statements for installing a multi-selector valve (MSV) or chemical injection package, what key elements do you look for to ensure QA/QC and safety compliance?
🎯Behavioral Questions (3)
  • 1.Tell me about a time you had to resolve a significant technical blocker with a contractor or vendor that was delaying site execution on an oil and gas project.
  • 2.Describe a situation where you identified a potential safety or environmental hazard during construction or commissioning that others had overlooked.
  • 3.Give an example of how you managed a major design change or scope variation during the execution phase of a gathering system or surface facility project.
🧩Situational Questions (2)
  • 1.You are overseeing the commissioning of a flowline and notice that the contractor is rushing through the hydrotesting and drying phases to meet a milestone, potentially compromising QA/QC. What do you do?
  • 2.You receive an urgent RFI regarding a clash between an overhead line route and a new chemical injection package layout, but the design team is unavailable for 48 hours. Site work is at a standstill. How do you handle this?
