Practice Questions

💡Technical Questions (3)
  • 1.Can you walk me through your approach to managing a DFMEA and DVP&R for a new automotive damping or sealing application from concept through launch?
  • 2.How do you manage the engineering change process once a change has been quoted and approved by the customer, ensuring it is successfully implemented at the manufacturing plant?
  • 3.Given the preference for familiarity with plastic injection molding and tooling, how would you approach managing a tooling budget and timeline for a new reinforced plastic component?
🎯Behavioral Questions (3)
  • 1.Tell me about a time you had to manage a project with a very aggressive timeline from award through the first 90 days post-launch. How did you ensure you met the timing needs?
  • 2.Describe a situation where you had to build a strong relationship with a difficult customer engineering contact to achieve a project milestone, like securing application design approval.
  • 3.Give me an example of a time you identified a potential design risk during a design review. How did you ensure it was addressed before drawings were released?
🧩Situational Questions (2)
  • 1.You are 4 weeks away from launch, and the customer requests an urgent engineering change to a sealing component. The change requires a tooling modification that could push your timeline back and exceed your tooling budget. How do you handle this?
  • 2.During on-site validation at the customer's plant, the part fails a critical performance test that previously passed during internal DVP&R testing. The customer is pressuring you for an immediate fix. What is your approach?
