Job Description

Who We Are

Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work feels faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.

Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, humanity, and building things that last — not just shipping the next feature, but setting a standard for how modern teams (with humans and agents working together) think and execute.

About The Role
As the Product Manger for Workspaces you will define how large Customers adopt, scale, and succeed with Notion. You will own a large and critical slice of Notion’s “system of record” future: defining how teams setup and evolve their Notion Workspace as AI agents become everyday collaborators — across people, content, and workflows.

You will be responsible for building the primitives, deployment, and maintenance features to enable organizations to seamlessly organize their people, context and agents best for their workflows.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with design, engineering, and Go-to-Market (GTM) teams to build enterprise-ready features that meet the unique needs of larger organizations. You'll engage directly with customers to understand their challenges and ensure Notion remains a flexible, trusted solution at scale. As an internal advocate for customers scaling their workspace content, you’ll ensure their needs shape key product decisions across the company. This is a mission-critical role as Notion continues to solidify it’s position as a system of record for humans and agents.

What You'll Achieve

  • Own the roadmap across multiple engineering teams building key information architecture and system of record features for humans and agents.

  • Learn from our customers to understand their needs and pain points. Ship a steady cadence of product improvements and features.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teammates across design, engineering, data science, research, customer experience and product marketing to define, and execute on your vision for ensuring Workspace success at scale.

  • Drive meaningful impact on a team that directly contributes results to the top-line of a generational company.

Skills You'll Need to Bring

  • You have a strong track record of delivering impactful product launches and improvements in B2B environments.

  • You are a systems thinker, you can hold multiple personas in your head and you care about the balance between craft, speed, and the bottom line.

  • You bring clarity wherever you go, tackling ambiguity and delivering a point of view

  • AI-pilled: You have comfort and an ongoing curiosity with using AI tools for your product development process.

  • Ambiguity and Pace Comfort: You have a proactive mindset even for ambiguous problems with a drive to deliver results with urgency throughout.

Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated base salary range for this role is $180,000 - $250,000 per year.

By clicking “Submit Application”, I understand and agree that Notion and its affiliates and subsidiaries will collect and process my information in accordance with Notion’s Global Recruiting Privacy Policy and NYLL 144.

A Note on AI

You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we’ll make it explicit in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, move faster, and build more creatively.

Equal Opportunity & Accommodations

We hire talented and passionate people from a variety of backgrounds because we want our teams to reflect the wide diversity of our customers. If you’re excited about a role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every bullet point listed, we still encourage you to apply.

Notion is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate in hiring or any employment decision based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or other applicable legally protected characteristic. Notion considers qualified applicants with criminal histories, consistent with applicable federal, state and local law. Notion is also committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in our job application procedures. If you need assistance or an accommodation due to a disability, please let your recruiter know.

Practice Questions

💡Technical Questions (3)
  • 1.How would you approach designing the information architecture and workspace primitives for an enterprise customer where both human users and AI agents need access to the same content?
  • 2.When evaluating the success of a new 'system of record' feature for large organizations scaling their Notion workspaces, what key metrics would you track?
  • 3.How would you balance the need for enterprise-grade workspace governance (like strict admin controls and content organization) with Notion's core value of flexibility and craft?
🎯Behavioral Questions (3)
  • 1.Tell me about a time you had to drive a product vision and roadmap in a highly ambiguous space with urgent pressure to deliver.
  • 2.Describe a situation where you had to advocate for a large enterprise customer's scaling needs, but your engineering or design team was focused on a different priority.
  • 3.Give an example of how you have actively used AI tools in your product development process recently.
🧩Situational Questions (2)
  • 1.A large customer is adopting Notion but their workspace is becoming chaotic as they scale: content is duplicated, permissions are messy, and AI agents are pulling incorrect context. How do you approach solving this for them and the broader product?
  • 2.You need to design the deployment and maintenance features for a new AI agent role in enterprise workspaces, but security teams at pilot customers are deeply concerned about data access. How do you proceed?
