About the Team

The Platform Product team builds shared capabilities that power Tata1mg’s core customer journeys across multiple verticals. We work at the intersection of product, design, engineering and data science to create reusable building blocks that scale across surfaces while keeping the customer experience simple and trustworthy.

What you will do:

• Own the product road-map for Search & Discovery across Tata1mg, spanning query understanding, retrieval, ranking and result presentation.

• Partner with data science and engineering to improve relevance using signals such as intent, personalization and context while maintaining explain-ability and trust.

• Define and improve key search KPIs (e.g., success rate, CTR, add-to-cart, conversion, zero-result rate) through experiments and iterative shipping.

• Build a robust evaluation framework for relevance: golden sets, offline metrics, online A/B tests, and continuous monitoring of regressions.

• Drive enhancements like auto-complete, facets/filters, synonyms, spell-correction, and merchandising controls to support business goals without degrading user experience.

• Work with domain teams (Pharmacy, Labs, Speciality Pharma) to model content and metadata needed for high-quality retrieval and ranking.

• Explore practical AI/LLM use-cases (e.g., query rewriting, intent classification, conversational discovery, better null-result handling) and drive responsible adoption.

• Translate ambiguous problems into crisp PRDs, align stakeholders, and lead cross-functional delivery from discovery to launch.

What are we looking for:

• 3-7 years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in consumer internet / B2C product management.

• Must have hands-on experience in Search / Information Retrieval concepts such as relevance, retrieval, ranking, query understanding or similar areas.

• Strong comfort with data and experimentation: defining metrics, running A/B tests, interpreting results, and making trade-offs.

• Ability to work closely with engineering and data science teams; familiarity with ML-driven products and model iteration cycles.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; can build alignment and drive execution across multiple teams.

• Structured thinking, strong analytical skills and a bias for action.

• Good to have: exposure to AI/LLMs (prompting, evaluation, safety considerations, or production LLM features).
