About the Role

The Medical Assistant supports providers and care teams by preparing patients for visits, collecting vital information, assisting with procedures, documenting care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

What You’ll Do
* Prepare patients for appointments and procedures

  • Obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints

  • Assist providers during exams and treatments

  • Administer immunizations and collect specimens

  • Document patient care accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)

  • Support patient education, discharge planning, and follow-up care

  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized exam rooms

  • Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary care teams

  • Support quality improvement initiatives and patient-centered care

Medical Assistant Career Levels
* **Medical Assistant I:**
Entry-level to 1 year of experience

  • **Medical Assistant II:**

1–3 years of experience
  • **Medical Assistant III:**

3+ years of experience

Employees who obtain certification (CCMA, CMA, RMA, etc.) are eligible for additional hourly pay incentives.

Compensation

$20.00 - $26.00 per hour

  • Up to an additional $2.00/hour for certified MAs

Qualifications
* Must be 18 years of age or older

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or current MA certification

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Ability to complete credentialing and privileging requirements

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment

  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred

  • Ability to provide culturally sensitive care

  • Must obtain or possess a valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card

Preferred
* Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates encouraged to apply
