Manufacturing Engineer
Lake Mills, WI | Precision Machining | Medical Device Industry

If you’re the kind of Manufacturing Engineer who likes getting out from behind the desk, solving real machining challenges, improving processes, and occasionally saving a machinist from launching a cutter into orbit… keep reading.

We’re partnering with a stable, employee-owned precision machining company that has spent the last 46 years building a reputation for quality, innovation, and technical excellence in the medical device industry. With new leadership, exciting growth into emerging markets, and a highly collaborative culture, this is an opportunity to join a company where your ideas matter and your work has a visible impact.

This isn’t a giant corporate environment where engineers disappear into meetings all day. This is a hands-on, team-oriented role where engineering, machining, troubleshooting, process improvement, and collaboration all come together on the shop floor.

What’s in it for you as a Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Flexible schedule — 5 days/week, Day shift with flexible start/end times

  • Strong work-life balance and family-oriented culture

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Paid time off and holidays

  • Professional development and training opportunities

  • Stable company with nearly five decades of success

  • Opportunity to work closely with an experienced, collaborative engineering and machining team

  • High-mix precision machining environment with technical variety

  • A leadership team focused on growth, innovation, and investing in employees

  • Clean, organized, high-quality manufacturing environment

What You’ll Need As a Manufacturing Engineer

  • 4+ years of experience in a machine shop or similar manufacturing environment

  • Hands-on CNC experience; 2+ years of programming experience

  • Experience with metal cutting tools, holders, fixtures, and workholding

  • Ability to work across multiple machine types, including lathes, machining centers, Swiss-type lathes, and manual equipment

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

  • Must be a team player willing to help across a 5-person department

  • Valid driver’s license

Skills/Background Needed As a Manufacturing Engineer

  • Espirit CAD/CAM, MasterCam

  • Familiarity with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gages, CMM, and Optical Comparator

  • Exposure to Swiss machining

  • Experience supporting machinists during setup and troubleshooting CNC programs

  • Continuous improvement mindset, with experience in cycle time reduction and process optimization

If you enjoy solving machining problems, improving processes, working alongside good people, and being part of a company where engineering still gets to engineer — this could be a great fit
