This role is deeply brand-forward, focused on bringing the world of ALO to life through immersive, elevated visual storytelling. The ideal candidate brings a strong point of view, exceptional attention to detail, and an instinct for translating brand into aspirational, culturally relevant design. You will create compelling work across print and digital touchpoints, from large-scale experiential moments to editorial campaign assets and brand storytelling. Working closely with Brand Marketing, Experiential, and Retail teams, you will shape how ALO is experienced in the world, delivering work that is both visually striking and culturally resonant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Concept and design brand-forward creative across digital and physical touchpoints.

  • Contribute to editorial-style layouts and storytelling for campaigns, lookbooks, and brand moments.

  • Develop elevated, large-scale print and environmental designs such as billboards, retail moments, construction barricades, and experiential installations.

  • Translate creative and design direction into cohesive visual systems that reinforce ALO’s luxury positioning and distinct visual identity.

  • Prepare files for print production and partner closely with vendors to ensure exceptional execution and material quality.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Experiential, and Retail teams to bring concepts to life with clarity and impact.

  • Present thoughtful design rationale and iterate based on feedback while maintaining a strong creative perspective.

  • Uphold and evolve ALO’s visual standards, ensuring consistency, sophistication, and innovation across all outputs.

  • Stay attuned to fashion, luxury, and cultural trends, bringing fresh references and ideas into the work.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field.

  • 3–5+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably within fashion, luxury, or lifestyle brands.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating brand-forward, elevated design across both digital and print—experience with large-scale or experiential work is highly preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.

  • Deep understanding of typography, composition, color, and visual storytelling within a premium/luxury context.

Practice Questions

💡Technical Questions (3)
  • 1.How do you adapt your typographic and compositional choices when shifting from a small-scale digital layout, like an editorial email, to a large-scale physical installation, like a billboard or retail barricade?
  • 2.Can you walk me through your process for preparing a complex, large-scale environmental print file for production, ensuring the final execution meets luxury material standards?
  • 3.How do you utilize Figma in conjunction with the Adobe Creative Suite to build cohesive visual systems and translate creative direction across multiple touchpoints?
🎯Behavioral Questions (3)
  • 1.Tell me about a time you had to present a strong creative concept to cross-functional stakeholders, like Marketing or Retail teams, and how you handled pushback while maintaining your design perspective.
  • 2.Describe an experience where you had to manage multiple design projects across different mediums in a fast-paced environment. How did you ensure attention to detail wasn't compromised?
  • 3.Give an example of a time you incorporated a current fashion, luxury, or cultural trend into a design project to make it more culturally relevant and aspirational.
🧩Situational Questions (2)
  • 1.You are designing an experiential retail moment for ALO, but the Experiential team wants to include a lot of promotional text that you feel clutters the design and dilutes the luxury aesthetic. How do you handle this?
  • 2.A vendor sends you a proof for a large-scale construction barricade, and the color vibrancy and material finish look flat, missing the premium ALO standard. The installation deadline is in two days. What do you do?
