Field Service Engineer

Location: Chandler / Phoenix

Pay: $70,000 – $100,000 annually

Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Schedule: Multiple Shifts Available

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to support advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites. This role is ideal for candidates with strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience who enjoy hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and travel.

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for equipment installations, repairs, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and technical support while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site installation, startup, repair, maintenance, and relocation of complex electro-mechanical and electronic systems

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues to the component level and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system-related failures using schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals

  • Support field modifications, upgrades, and equipment updates

  • Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation

  • Provide technical support and create customer response action plans

  • Serve as a technical resource and maintain strong customer relationships

  • Assist in training and mentoring junior engineers and technicians

  • Maintain knowledge of semiconductor equipment technologies through ongoing training and certifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

  • Experience installing, maintaining, repairing, or troubleshooting semiconductor capital equipment

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and manuals

  • Comfortable working in cleanroom environments while wearing PPE or cleanroom suits

  • Ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, reach, and perform physical tasks for extended periods

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally based on customer needs

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime, compressed schedules, and on-call assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability

  • Experience supporting customer-facing technical operations
