About the position:

 

E Ink Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Facility Engineer with Mechanical Focus.  This position will support laboratory, cleanroom, and pilot plant operations by ensuring reliable, safe, and compliant mechanical infrastructure. This role combines hands-on facility engineering with tenant improvement (TI) project execution and HVAC system engineering.

Responsibilities:

 

*Mechanical & HVAC Systems*

  • Lead engineering oversight of HVAC and air handling systems for labs and cleanrooms.

  • Perform and validate heating/cooling load calculations.

  • Develop equipment specifications and evaluate air handlers, chillers, exhaust, and mechanical systems.

  • Review mechanical drawings, submittals, and control sequences.

  • Troubleshoot and optimize HVAC, exhaust, utilities, and related facility systems.

  • Maintain accurate documentation.

*Tenant Improvement & Projects*

  • Lead mechanical scope for TI and facility upgrade projects.

  • Partner with MEP consultants, contractors, and vendors through design and construction.

  • Review load calculations, equipment selections, and change orders.

  • Support commissioning, TAB, and system startup.

  • Manage scope, budget, schedule, and project documentation.

*Safety & Compliance*

  • Ensure compliance with EHS, process safety, and environmental requirements.

  • Support MOC, risk assessments, cleanroom standards, and audits (ISO/GMP/GLP as applicable).

 

Qualifications:

 

*Preferred:*

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or related field.

  • 5+ years of facility or mechanical infrastructure experience.

  • Strong HVAC knowledge and load calculation capability.

  • Experience in TI construction projects.

  • Ability to develop specifications and evaluate vendor proposals.

  • Proficient in reading P&IDs and mechanical drawings.

  • Project coordination and contractor management experience.

*Required:*

  • Lab, cleanroom, or pilot plant experience.

  • PE or PMP certification.

  • Familiarity with CMMS, BMS, and regulated environments.

Benefits:

 

The annual salary range for this position is $105,000 to $135,000, not including any variable pay.  The total compensation package may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other variable pay components. The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
