Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) activities in compliance with pollution control norms.


• Ensure proper treatment of industrial effluent, RO reject, and wastewater as per statutory requirements.


• Monitor pH, COD, BOD, TDS, MLSS, and other ETP parameters.


• Handle RO, MEE, ATFD, scrubber systems, and utility-related environmental operations.


• Maintain logbooks, daily reports, and environmental documentation.


• Coordinate with Production, QA, Safety, and Maintenance departments for smooth ETP operation.


• Ensure compliance with TNPCB, CPCB, and environmental regulations.


• Support internal/external audits and regulatory inspections.


• Monitor chemical dosing, sludge handling, and waste disposal activities.


• Ensure safety practices and housekeeping in the ETP area.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of ETP/STP operations in Pharma/API industry.


• Familiarity with pollution control systems and environmental compliance.


• Understanding of wastewater treatment processes and equipment.


• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.


• Exposure to GMP and EHS practices preferred.

Qualification

• B.Sc Chemistry / Environmental Science


• Diploma / B.E. Chemical / Environmental Engineering


• Any relevant environmental certification is an added advantage.

Preferred Industry Background

• API / Bulk Drug / Pharmaceutical Manufacturing


• Chemical Manufacturing Industry

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates should be willing to work in shifts if required.


• Experience in regulated manufacturing plants preferred.


• Good communication and documentation skills
