Job Description

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Environmental Scientist based in Mumbai. The selected candidate will be responsible for end to end management of the EC process for building & construction projects, including carrying out Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) studies where required, developing the necessary documentation, filling / uploading forms on the portal, answering queries, making presentations and ensuring that project proposals are compliant with environmental regulations. They will also be planning environmental monitoring, data analysis, and coordinating with multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. The candidate will also be expected to go on site as part of EIA studies.

Qualifications

  • Clear awareness of techno-legal requirements for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and creating associated documents

  • Knowledge of environmental regulations, processes, and compliance frameworks

  • Knowledge of Parivesh portal

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for report preparation and stakeholder interaction

  • Presentation skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, scientists, architects and planners

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (mandatorily required as the candidate shall be expected to be qualified for NABET approval)

  • NABET approval for sector 38 and/or 39 (both preferred, at lease one is mandatory)

Salary no bar for suitable and qualified candidate.
