Practice Questions

💡Technical Questions (3)
  • 1.How would you approach applying GD&T and tolerance stack-ups when designing a body sealing component for a BIW structure?
  • 2.Can you explain the relationship between DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation testing in the development of an automotive seal?
  • 3.What are the key design and manufacturing considerations for ensuring a reliable seal between a vehicle door and the BIW?
🎯Behavioral Questions (3)
  • 1.Tell me about a time you collaborated with a cross-functional team, such as manufacturing or quality, to resolve a design or assembly issue.
  • 2.Describe a situation where you had to learn a new software tool or technical process quickly to complete a project.
  • 3.Give an example of a time you identified a potential risk or flaw in a design and how you communicated it to your team.
🧩Situational Questions (2)
  • 1.You are supporting a prototype build and a body sealing component is not fitting properly, causing a gap. The plant is waiting on your instruction to proceed. What do you do?
  • 2.A supplier proposes a material change for a seal to reduce costs, but you are concerned it might affect long-term durability. How do you handle this situation?
