Practice Questions

💡Technical Questions (3)
  • 1.Walk me through your approach to characterizing a new Infotainment ECU board revision on the bench, specifically focusing on power integrity and connectivity signals.
  • 2.How do you systematically perform root cause analysis when a complex hardware module issue is identified during manufacturing or in the field, particularly for a Telematics ECU?
  • 3.Can you explain your experience with automotive communication protocols and how you utilize tools like CANoe to validate them during electrical testing?
🎯Behavioral Questions (3)
  • 1.Tell me about a time you had to collaborate cross-functionally with EE design teams to define a test plan and resolve a significant design verification issue.
  • 2.Describe a situation where you had to debug an elusive, intermittent electrical issue on a PCBA that was failing inconsistently during bench testing.
  • 3.Give an example of how you developed or improved an automation script using Python to streamline HW test execution and reporting for ECU validation.
🧩Situational Questions (2)
  • 1.You are running a bench-level electrical test on a new Telematics ECU and notice that the CAN bus is dropping messages intermittently when the cellular modem transmits at high power. How would you approach this issue?
  • 2.You receive a field-return ECU with no obvious physical damage, but the diagnostic logs show a functional safety fault related to ISO 26262. The design team insists the hardware is fine. How do you handle this?
