Practice Questions

💡Technical Questions (3)
  • 1.Can you walk me through your process for performing an ETAP arc flash analysis and how you apply the results to your electrical design deliverables?
  • 2.How do you approach developing electrical load lists and performing load balancing for a hyperscale data center project?
  • 3.Describe your experience preparing Technical Requisitions (TRs) for electrical and fire protection systems and reviewing vendor quotations.
🎯Behavioral Questions (3)
  • 1.Tell me about a time you had to coordinate cross-functionally with manufacturing, procurement, and construction teams to resolve an electrical design issue.
  • 2.Give an example of a situation where you recommended an innovative solution that improved the reliability, efficiency, or cost of an electrical system.
  • 3.Describe a time when you had to support commissioning troubleshooting efforts for a low-voltage or power distribution system under tight deadlines.
🧩Situational Questions (2)
  • 1.You are reviewing vendor quotations for a critical switchgear package and notice a significant cost saving proposed by a vendor, but their technical data sheet shows a deviation from your TR requirements. How do you handle this?
  • 2.During a fast-track design/build project, you receive an RFI from the construction site indicating that the physical layout conflicts with your cable sizing and routing schedule. What steps do you take?
