Practice Questions

💡Technical Questions (3)
  • 1.How do you approach distribution power flow analysis when evaluating the impact of a predicted overhead line defect on the local grid?
  • 2.Can you explain your process for analyzing large datasets of historical defect and inspection records to improve predictive model accuracy and reduce false positives?
  • 3.When reviewing predictive alerts for transformer defects, how do you translate raw data into actionable insights for asset management teams?
🎯Behavioral Questions (3)
  • 1.Tell me about a time you had to validate a machine learning driven prediction with field operations or Protection & Control teams before taking action.
  • 2.Describe a situation where your thorough investigative skills helped you identify a critical issue in electric distribution operations that others missed.
  • 3.Give an example of a time you had to translate complex electrical engineering data into actionable insights for a non-technical audience, such as field operations.
🧩Situational Questions (2)
  • 1.You receive a predictive alert flagging a high probability of an overhead line defect, but the field operations team is skeptical of the model's accuracy due to recent false positives. How do you handle this?
  • 2.You notice a pattern in the operational data suggesting that a specific type of protective device setting is leading to unnecessary outages, but the Protection & Control team insists the settings meet standard engineering guidelines. What is your approach?
