Job Description

$26-$38 per hour based on experience

Digital Tool & Die is an established tool and die shop located in Grandville MIchigan.  We specialize in designing and fabricating world-class sheet metal stamping dies, roll forming, fixtures, fabrication, and special applications to meet the industrial needs for automotive, furniture, prototyping, appliance, and U.S. Military.

Work with our internal simulation techs to establish the strip layout based on forming and GD&T requirements using 3D CAD software.  Once the process has been approved, they are responsible for the design of the tooling.  A tool designer is also required to establish a bill of materials (BOM) for purchasing to use to order tool steel and components.  Another task will be creating CNC nest files for the programmers and occasionally assisting in blank developments and tool updates / changes that are being done out on the shop floor.

  • Experience with VISI design software

  • Extensive design experience of progressive and transfer tools required.

  • Good knowledge of GD&T

  • Ability to get along with people in a fast paced environment.
