The Role and Candidate

We are looking for a data driven and detail oriented professional to support business performance monitoring and analysis across POP MART’s European business.

This role focuses on operational reporting, performance tracking, and business insight generation across key revenue channels, including physical stores, vending machines, and online business. You will support the business by monitoring core operational indicators, identifying trends and issues through data, and helping teams better understand performance through clear, accurate, and practical analysis.

You will also work closely with teams including Finance, Retail Operations, Marketing, Merchandising, and Business Development to support regular reporting, operational reviews, and day to day data requests. In parallel, the role will contribute to improving reporting consistency, data quality, and the practical use of data in business operations.

This position would suit someone with solid analytical capability, structured thinking, and a hands on approach, who is comfortable working with detailed data while supporting wider business needs in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

Daily Operation Monitoring and Performance Review

  • Establish daily, weekly and monthly monitoring for core operational indicators, including revenue, gross profit, expense ratio, payment collection, labour efficiency and store efficiency, across all revenue channels such as physical stores, vending machines and online business

  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly operational reports in a timely manner, benchmark performance against budget, year on year and month on month data, and analyse the causes of performance gaps

  • Track key business indicators including sales volume, average transaction value, conversion rate and profit margin, and provide regular operational analysis to support performance improvement

  • Analyse the performance of different markets, stores and vending machines, identify trends and issues, and support the development of targeted actions to improve profitability

  • Support the Business Development team with data input for store and vending machine site selection, based on market data and operational analysis

  • Support monthly and quarterly operational review meetings by preparing review materials and presentations, highlighting business progress, key issues and improvement priorities, and tracking follow up actions

  • Work closely with the Finance team to verify operational, cost and expense data, align statistical definitions, resolve data discrepancies, and ensure management reporting is accurate and reliable

Business Insights and Reporting

  • Work closely with business teams on a daily basis to understand key business pain points, and support practical data solutions based on business needs and operating scenarios

  • Conduct data analysis across sales operations, marketing and consumer insights, identify the business logic behind the data, and provide insights to support business optimisation

  • Improve the quality and depth of recurring insight reports by moving beyond data listing and strengthening business focused conclusions and recommendations

  • Build and maintain structured data records and archives to support data traceability, consistency and reusability

  • Extract and process data from multiple sources, including business systems, CRM and ERP systems, and use SQL for regular queries, data cleaning, deduplication, correlation and aggregation

  • Build and maintain basic dashboards and automated reports to reduce manual reporting, improve data visibility, and support more efficient access to information

Cross Functional Collaboration and Data Governance

  • Support Sales, Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, Finance and other teams with day to day data requests, including customised queries, report exports and basic analysis support

  • Provide guidance to business teams on basic data viewing and analysis methods to improve the practical use of data in daily operations

  • Support the standardisation of data fields, statistical rules and analysis templates, and help establish data logs and archiving practices to strengthen data governance

  • Contribute to the development of a more consistent and practical data culture across the business

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of business analysis experience; candidates with experience in management consulting, internet business analysis, retail operations analysis, or other relevant analytical experience, or those with extensive professional experience are preferred

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, capable of handling complex issues with structured thinking and analytical abilities

  • Proactive, hands-on, and entrepreneurial mindset with experience working in a fast-paced business environment

  • Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, written and verbal communication skills

  • Data-sensitive, able to identify business trends and issues through data analysis; proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau is preferred, but strong willingness to learn is a must
