Practice Questions

💡Technical Questions (3)
  • 1.When constructing inverter and transformer foundations in a solar project, what specific quality checks and field tests do you prioritize to ensure compliance with approved standards?
  • 2.How do you ensure effective coordination between the civil and electrical teams to prevent issues like alignment mismatches or access constraints during execution?
  • 3.Walk me through your process for inspecting cable trenches and equipment pedestals, specifically focusing on the civil-electrical interface.
🎯Behavioral Questions (3)
  • 1.Tell me about a time you identified a major deviation or quality issue during a civil inspection that could have impacted subsequent electrical installations. How did you handle it?
  • 2.Describe a situation where you had to enforce HSE guidelines on site when contractors were resistant or facing tight deadlines.
  • 3.Give an example of how you managed a material shortage or site constraint that threatened to delay the civil work front required by the electrical team.
🧩Situational Questions (2)
  • 1.You notice that the reinforcement and earthing layout for a control room structure being executed by a subcontractor does not match the approved construction drawing. The subcontractor insists it is fine and wants to proceed with concreting to avoid delays. What do you do?
  • 2.During backfilling of a cable trench, you observe that the contractor is not following the specified layer-by-layer compaction and is using oversized aggregates, which could damage the electrical cables. How would you handle this on the spot?
