Job Description

Job Purpose

Responsible for designing and constructing essential components such as runways, taxiways, and aprons to ensure the safe and efficient operation of airports.

Key Accountabilities

  • Follow the day-to-day operations like daily inspections, inspection reports, PPM maintenance, reactive maintenance etc.

  • Follows up on civil works and asset preventive maintenance schedules, reactive maintenance and corrective maintenance in CAFM as well as site.

  • Supervision of sub-contractors, buildings maintenance, renovation works, runway testing and commissioning, asphalt mil & overlay, friction test at runways, rubber removal from runways, pavement marking at runways taxiways & aprons.

  • Planning and supervision of pavement cracks, deterioration, storm water system, protection barriers, fence and other infrastructure repairs.

  • Work in office for different computer software i.e. Maximo, CAFM, MS Office etc. to ensure on time reporting and close out of required tasks.

  • Planning and supervision of building maintenance i.e. civil maintenance & painting works etc.

  • Control the t controls, cost estimates, quantity takeoffs and manpower requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders.

  • Maintain high customer satisfaction and help achieve Enova’s business objectives.

  • Provides technical direction and on-the-job training to team leaders, supervisors and technicians.

  • Assigns and coordinates work to team leaders, supervisors and technicians Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate program of assigned engineering work and projects.

  • Carrying out planned maintenance.

  • Ensure proper interdisciplinary coordination and effective communication on projects.

  • Analyze reports, maps, drawings, tests, and other data to plan and maintain installations.

  • Direct and/or participate in job site visits to collect or deliver services.

  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.

  • Issue repair reports at the conclusion of critical jobs for proper historical documentation

  • Identify engineered resolutions to recurring civil issues

  • Prepare timely and accurate departmental statements and reports to meet and department requirements, policies and standards.

  • Ensure all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to so that the safety of employees, quality of products/services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.

  • Liaise with the HSEQ department for creating standard operating procedures

  • Timely issue and send the incident reports to HSEEQ department

  • Support the HSEQ staff investigating the incidents

  • Implement the risk control measures arising from the HIRA

  • Conduct toolbox & SOP training whenever the supervisor is deemed incompetent about the topic

  • Prepare the yearly schedule of toolbox and SOP training with support HSEQ staff

  • Ensure relevant emergency tests are conducted

  • Comply with / support the company asset management strategy applicable for its contract.

**Qualifications, Experiences, & Skill

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (4+ years Degree)

  • Requires a valid driving license with high English proficiency and communication skills.

  • 5 – 8 years’ experience in technical maintenance with exposure to Facilities Management in the areas of Civil Engineering, Pavement and Infrastructure.

  • Airport and airfield experience and GCAS certification are preferences.

  • Knowledge of the laws and regulations as well as global best practices; decisiveness and judgment, innovative and conceptual skills, numerical and problem-solving skills, communication and influencing skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills, planning and organizing skills, leadership and teamwork skills, computer proficiency.

  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Has the facility management concept and understanding, with consideration to the SLA’s and KPIs.

  • Should be able to direct the team in building’s maintenance, should have experience in masonry, carpentry, & ironmongery works.

  • Willingness to be based in Abu Dhabi/Dubai/Sharjah.
