Job Description:

Matlen Silver is actively recruiting for a Business Analyst with a strong Data Analysis background and knowledge of Market Risk to define the end to end business & functional requirements to support the target business process within our client's Global Risk Management line of business. The Business Analyst will contribute to the Agile software development lifecycle of products and services from inception stage through to the final implementation following a Scrum development process. This Business Analyst will be required to work closely with the developers to define, build and test the solution often working on multiple projects/work-streams at the same time.

Position Summary:

  • Facilitating Scrum ceremonies i.e. Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives

  • Helping the team define norms/agreements, like a Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, and enforces the agreements

  • Ensuring the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog (in collaboration with the PO).

  • Promoting and coaching the Agile mindset and principles, empowering the team to become self-managing

  • Operating within the Enterprise governance and compliance guidelines

  • Ensuring that all the necessary artifacts are captured to satisfy both internal and external audit controls

  • Supporting consistent reporting practices across the teams & foster a culture of continuous improvement

Desired Skills:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst building global enterprise applications that have large data intensive requirements.

  • Scrum Master experience or at least 2+ years working on Agile software development projects.

  • Knowledge of Reference Data, Regulatory & Compliance, and/or Risk Domain and interest in / ability to grasp investment banking concepts.

  • Data analysis background including advanced Excel and technical understanding of SQL.

  • Agile methodology and tool (Jira) experience.
