West Hollywood HQ (supporting all Cult Gaia retail & wholesale partners)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Brand Experience & Retail Visual Merchandiser is responsible for bringing the Cult Gaia brand to life across all retail stores and key wholesale partners. Based out of the West Hollywood HQ, this role sits at the intersection of visual merchandising, retail operations, and wholesale activation.

This individual will oversee visual execution across all Cult Gaia stores, maintain daily communication with Store Managers, and act as a brand ambassador externally with wholesale partners ensuring a consistent, elevated, and commercially effective brand experience across all touchpoints.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Retail Visual Merchandising & Store Execution:

  • Lead and execute visual merchandising strategy across all Cult Gaia retail locations.

  • Maintain daily communication with Store Managers to ensure alignment on merchandising standards, product placement, and store needs.

  • Oversee weekly store reviews, including photo recaps and performance feedback.

  • Ensure all stores uphold luxury brand standards and consistency in presentation.

  • Partner with Retail Operations to align merchandising with sales performance and business goals.

  • Support new store openings, installations, and seasonal floor set updates.

  • Travel to store locations as needed for merchandising execution and support.

Brand Experience & Wholesale Activation:

  • Serve as a brand ambassador, representing Cult Gaia across wholesale accounts and external partners.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale partners.

  • Lead product knowledge trainings and brand education sessions for wholesale teams.

  • Translate Cult Gaia’s brand identity into compelling in-store experiences across wholesale environments.

  • Develop seasonal storytelling and brand activation strategies across all channels.

Creative & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with Creative, Marketing, Retail, and Wholesale teams to ensure cohesive brand storytelling.

  • Collaborate on seasonal concepts, window displays, and in-store visual direction.

  • Assist in sourcing props, materials, and vendors for retail and wholesale activations.

  • Support creation of visual merchandising guidelines and training materials.

Training, Communication & Leadership:

  • Train and inspire Store Managers and retail teams on visual standards and best practices.

  • Develop and deliver training decks and materials for both retail and wholesale teams.

  • Act as the key point of contact between HQ and stores for all visual merchandising communication.

  • Foster a strong feedback loop between stores, wholesale partners, and HQ.

Market Insights & Business Impact:

  • Gather feedback from stores and wholesale partners to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

  • Analyze how merchandising impacts sales and customer experience.

  • Support retail and wholesale expansion initiatives.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 4–8+ years of experience in visual merchandising, retail, wholesale, or related field.

  • Strong experience managing multi-store retail environments.

  • Proven ability to build relationships with internal teams and external partners.

  • Experience creating training materials, decks, and brand guidelines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); Adobe/Photoshop is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of retail KPIs and merchandising impact on sales.

  • Willingness to travel (domestic & international as needed).

SCHEDULE:

  • Monday through Friday (HQ-based)

  • Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
