Job Description & Key Responsibilities

Seeking to fill an Analyst role in Balbec’s New York City office within its due diligence and transaction management group. In addition to a strong quantitative skillset and an ability to maintain / process / analyze large data sets, the candidate must possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills because this role requires communication with numerous groups within the company.

Responsibilities include:

Work in an iterative, fast-paced environment with the transaction and asset management teams on a variety of data-focused projects including, but not limited, to:

  • Facilitate data intake from multiple vendors for each transaction and consolidate data for loan-level analysis.

  • Assist in the transaction management process as well as maintain progress pipeline for ongoing trades.

  • Prepare close notifications for purchased deals and organize closing documents and loan data.

  • Conduct the loading process for loans boarding in our system using proprietary web applications.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study (Degrees in Finance, Engineering or similar fields preferred).

  • 0-1 years of experience.

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience in SQL database queries is a plus.

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and time management abilities as well as the ability to work independently.
