Practice Questions

💡Technical Questions (3)
  • 1.Can you walk me through your process for taking a character from a high-poly ZBrush sculpt down to an optimised, game-ready low-poly mesh?
  • 2.The job specifically mentions creating materials in a hand-painted style. How do you approach creating hand-painted albedo and specular maps, and what challenges do you usually encounter?
  • 3.Describe your rigging and skinning workflow for a character in Maya. How do you ensure your rig will perform well for the specific animations needed in an MMORPG?
🎯Behavioral Questions (3)
  • 1.Tell me about a time you had to collaborate closely with concept artists, audio, or content developers to bring an idea to life.
  • 2.As a 3D Generalist, you have to juggle multiple disciplines like modelling, texturing, rigging, and animation. Tell me about a project where you had to manage all these steps under a tight deadline.
  • 3.Describe a situation where you had to optimise an asset that was originally too heavy for the game engine without compromising its visual quality.
🧩Situational Questions (2)
  • 1.You are creating a new enemy for Brighter Shores, but the concept art is very ambiguous about the creature's back anatomy. The content developer needs it to have a specific attack animation. How do you proceed?
  • 2.You've just finished texturing and rigging a character, but the design team suddenly changes the character's primary weapon, which alters the character's silhouette and requires new animation states. How do you handle this setback efficiently?
